On to the second game and I am up against a Circle player with a Kromac1 / Krueger2 pair. With both lists being ARM spam and pretty resilient to control it is pretty clear that my opponent is going to pick Kromac1. I don’t want to risk getting caught in a spot where Bart is unable to cast Batten, so I decide to go with Ossrum.

I rocked up to the this tournament with my old Ossrum Hammerstrike list and a modified version of the Bart list. My goal for the tournament is to test the pairing before the upcoming team tournament in Poland. From the previous Bart game I learned some lessons list building wise and kicked out Sylis and Gudrun2 to make room for a Talon and Anastasia. I also realised that I am never going to play this list into Crucible Guard, so I replaced Harlowe with Kell just because I believe he is a better solo even though the synergy with the list is a bit weaker.
For the first game I get paired against Cryx with a Denny1/Scaverous pair. I immediately notice a huge weakness in my pair and that is that sometimes my opponent will just have two armour cracking lists “by accident”. Such is the case for the entire Cryx faction. I go ahead and drop Bart just on the off chance that my opponent messes up and drops Scaverous. He does not, so it’s Denny vs Bart.

We were four people at the club this day so we swapped around. My opponent is playing Lukas/Gearhart and there is no way I am going to drop Bart into that. I have my Thexus list at hand as well. Not sure if it is any better, but at least it will be different.

A friend tipped me about a Bart double colossal list so naturally I had to try it. The original list had a couple of (to me) odd solo choices and was missing the commodore cannon, so I modified it slightly to make it suit my playstyle better.

My friend invited me to a burger and a game at his house quite a while ago and after scheduling and rescheduling a couple of times we finally got around to meet up. The burger was great and it turned out that he had an awesome gaming table set up too. I wasn’t too happy with my lists after RheinCon, but haven’t had the time to gather my thoughts or models yet so I am taking the Ossrum Irregulars list for one last spin, just with a couple of minor modifications due to models being left in the cabinet at the club. My opponent brought Siege1 in Sons of Tempest.

I recently listened to a podcast where Ashlynn2 in a list bluntly named as ‘Ash2Ass’ was recommended as a counter to Gearhart1 and after seeing the list at RheinCon I decided to give it a try for myself. My opponent was running a standard Gearhart list and funnily enough my list actually had one more assault trooper than his.
