I get paired into CoC and a pairing of Axis and Orion. The Axis list has double TEP and Orion shoots like … well, he shoots like Orion I guess, so it is pretty obvious that I need to drop Ossrum even though I am not happy about having to play into the Axis feat. The good news for me is that I have played this very matchup recently so at least I am well prepared.

I had retooled my list slightly with a very clear plan going into this game. One of the Drillers has been replaced with a Rockram and I have swapped both the Blasters with Gunners. This should give me enough firepower to one-round a Suppressor with shooting if I can get rid of the Mentalist with Harlowe (https://anydice.com/program/27fdd ). Without Rust the hope is that enough of my heavy hitters can survive the feat turns to retaliate and ride out a scenario win.

Time for a practice run of the updated version of my super secret gunbunny spam list for the tournament. I have changed from Hammerstrike to Irregulars mostly to increase the odds of going first with Anastasia and the reroll from theme. I also get access to a host of sweet solos such as Eiryss1 who with Snipe sometimes can end up just winning the game with a single shot.

In an attempt to find lists which could work against problem matchups such as Issyria and Syvestro I have asked for advice from my opponents. I received an interesting Constance Blaize list featuring double Precursor Knights and a unit of Legion of Lost Souls. This list should hit hard and if I can trigger Vengence it threats really far. My opponent wanted to play Orion. This may not be exactly the matchup I want to drop Blaize into, but at least it would be a good stress test.
